Patient Forbearance, Carrying Adversity into the Path
with Khentrul Rinpoche
April 13, 2010
We experience constant external adversity in all relationships, sickness, and various unwanted circumstances, and at the same time, inner adversity through the influence of negative thoughts and disturbing emotions. These blow us around like the wind, bringing suffering to body and mind. This is primarily because we lack the skill and forbearance to work with them. It is of the utmost importance that we learn to transform difficult circumstances into practice, which greatly decreases the suffering they cause. Even a short time spent learning these methods brings tremendous results.
